I can not stand that these books end and right in the middle of a story. I won't purchase any other books from Js cooper Comment 9 people found this helpful. I was really disappointed. The first few chapters was the prequel! Then it was like another novella and bam, preorder the next one?
Comment 4 people found this helpful. I pre-ordered this because usually anything written by this author is great I did not care for the flow, plot, or characters portrayed in this one. The female characters are weak and flighty. The male characters are Jerks and do not appear to have any redeeming qualities. Comment 6 people found this helpful. I feel like I'm missing something.
Not exactly what I expected from the synopsis. Seven years go by, you hookup. Hate him, then three years later become best friends.
Where's the back story to how this took place? But what really bothers me is how after being friends for three to four years all of a sudden now he wants to ask if she regrets being friends?
Why not ask these questions six months into the friendship or even a year later? But then turn around and tell her to cut him loose? I usually really love J.
Cooper, and I was really anticipating this release. Unfortunately, this wasn't what I was expecting. Comment 3 people found this helpful.
I downloaded the free part, That Guy, and thought it was a great beginning to The Hookup. Or maybe there should have been a second person to read this book before release.

Poor little naive, follow my heart Janie. I like her but I wanted to smack her at the same time. Get it together child! She's all over the place and her decision making is not the best.
Okay, I have to be honest I was so upset with how Nate treated her but damn I forgave him too. Crap, maybe I shouldn't judge her after all? He's hot and you know its wrong but damn it feels so right, right?
Anyways, Dylan is a total jerk!! Anabel needs to find herself a guy, she's a little to invested in Janie's love life. I know she wants the best for her but back off just a little. With that being said what the hell is she planning??? Already pre ordered the next one. I voluntarily Reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book. I also pre ordered it and forgot after I got an ARC copy but oh well because it was that good! Comment One person found this helpful.
